One of the joys I get from being a pet photographer is being able to help shelter animals find permanent homes by taking great photos of them. Research has shown that better photos equal more adoptions. So, I am constantly volunteering my time photographing the wonderful dogs and cats in rescue groups and shelters throughout South Florida. You will see plenty photos of shelter animals up for adoption on this site.

But shelters need money too. Almost all animal rescue groups are non-profits and rely exclusively on donations. So to support them in this way as well I will donate $25 from each pet portrait session to a local animal rescue group. Some of my favorite groups to donate to are:

In October of 2013 I became a member of Hearts Speak, whose mission is to save the lives of animals in need by supporting artists, animal welfare organizations and communities.
